Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
• Administer Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, VMware Aria Automation, vRealize platforms, and NSX-T networking.
• Implement disaster recovery with Site Recovery Manager and replication technologies.
• Automate VMware infrastructure using PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, and vRealize Orchestrator.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and security while supporting upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Integrate VMware platforms with VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, or Google Cloud VMware Engine; troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and maintain documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of VMware platform engineering experience; the posting also lists 6+ years of overall experience.
• Strong expertise with vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, and NSX-T.
• Experience with PowerCLI, infrastructure automation, and VMware container platforms such as Tanzu.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, Site Recovery Manager, and hybrid cloud VMware solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• VMware Certified Professional or VMware Certified Advanced Professional certification.
• Experience with VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, or Google Cloud VMware Engine.
• Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation and Aria Operations or vRealize Operations.
• Experience with VMware migration or modernization initiatives.
