Senior Radar Engineer (Radar Systems)

What you will do

• Conduct radar, sensor, and mission-level performance analyses, engineering assessments, and technology evaluations.
• Assess radar architectures, system performance, technical risks, operational effectiveness, and technology readiness levels.
• Develop and evaluate radar algorithms, performance metrics, modeling approaches, simulations, and analytical methodologies.
• Design analytical tools, automation scripts, and data-analysis solutions using MATLAB and/or Python.
• Review technical documentation, requirements, specifications, CDRLs, SOWs, and PWSs, and provide recommendations to Government stakeholders and program leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering activities, support technical reviews, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 15 years of experience in radar signal processing, radar systems engineering, RF engineering, radar operations, or a closely related field.
• Expertise in radar system design, performance assessment, technology assessment, troubleshooting, radar theory, and system architecture.
• Proficiency with MATLAB and/or Python for modeling, simulation, data analysis, and engineering tool development.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance; willingness to travel up to 10% is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 20+ years of progressive radar engineering, signal processing, or defense systems development experience.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance and experience supporting U.S. Army Air and Missile Defense programs.
• Experience developing and evaluating radar signal-processing algorithms, including CFAR, beamforming, MTD, MTI, Pulse-Doppler, RCS, IFF, EP, target discrimination, and NCTR techniques.
