Defence Project Manager (Rocket Motor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead planning and execution of studies and development activities for the Rocket Motor Manufacturing Program.
• Develop project plans, schedules, deliverables, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate project meetings, working groups, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
• Represent the project in meetings, workshops, and briefings with Defence stakeholders.
• Lead risk reviews, maintain risk and issue registers, and prepare governance and status reporting.
• Support business cases, Cabinet submissions, briefs, Statements of Work, and executive decision-making documentation.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects in Defence, government, engineering, or highly regulated environments.
• Experience supporting capability development, acquisition, or major project delivery.
• Strong project planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and governance reporting skills.
• Experience developing or contributing to Cabinet submissions, business cases, briefs, and executive documentation.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret complex technical information and engage senior stakeholders.
• Minimum AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance and Australian citizenship are required for eligibility; ITAR compliance is also required.
