New Scope Project Manager (Defence)

Location: Adelaide or Melbourne, Australia. Flexible hybrid work-from-home and office arrangements and a 9-day fortnight may be considered.

What you will do

• Deliver small to medium projects supporting combat systems solutions for the Destroyer Capability Enhancement Program.
• Develop and execute Tasking Statements to cost and schedule.
• Prepare work breakdown structures, bases of estimate, project plans, cost accounts and schedules.
• Lead status presentations at steering committees, gate reviews, customer reviews and progress meetings.
• Manage Tasking Statement proposals and identify value-for-money initiatives.
• Build a collaborative working relationship with customers, project stakeholders and the CSI-IPT team.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in science, engineering or business.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management or bid management; defence or naval project experience is preferred.
• Understanding of planning, scheduling and Earned Value Management techniques.
• Experience with Cost Schedule System Reporting or a related Earned Value Management system.
• Ability to manage proposals and prepare briefing packs for executive-level approvals.
• Must be an Australian citizen and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level.
