What you will do

• Provide outcome-based psychiatric and general nurse practitioner services within MTF-granted privileges.
• Screen, examine, diagnose, treat, and counsel patients with routine, acute, and chronic conditions.
• Promote preventive care, health maintenance, annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care.
• Teach and technically direct staff through educational lectures and in-service training.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams on care plans and education.
• Participate in case discussions, continuing education, quality improvement, infection control, and safety activities.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• A Secret or Top Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program in the relevant specialty.
• Current psychiatric nurse practitioner certification from ANCC, AANP, or a recognized national specialty certification organization.
• Current, full, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in a US state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification from the American Heart Association and maintained MTF credentialing.
