Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner

Location: OH-Salem

Salary: $115,000–$150,000 per year. A $10,000 signing bonus is available.

What you will do

• Perform occupational health screenings and provide care for workplace injuries, illnesses, exposures, and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Conduct fitness-for-duty, applicant, DOT, and return-to-work examinations and document work capacity.
• Interpret spirometry results and resting EKGs, administer or identify required titers and vaccinations, and perform procedures such as suturing and foreign-object removal.
• Coordinate injury case management with employers and workers’ compensation insurers.
• Assess workplace hazards and collaborate with client managers on safety policies, protective equipment, prevention, treatment, and workplace adaptations.
• Provide preventive care, chronic disease management, urgent visits, and health education using a relationship-based care model.

Requirements

• Active nurse practitioner license and current ANCC or AANP board certification.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
• Independent practice experience is preferred where permitted by state regulations.
• Federal DEA registration is preferred and may be required for full prescribing authority.
• Independent family practice experience in wellness care, chronic care management, and urgent visits is preferred.
