Nurse Practitioner (NP) (Psychiatric Mental Health)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida; eligibility to work in the United States is required. The role follows Monday–Friday shifts aligned with Eastern Time: 9am–6pm, 10am–7pm, or 11am–8pm ET.

Salary: $125,000–$135,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Assess adolescent and adult patients’ mental and physical health and diagnose psychiatric disorders and mental health conditions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct individual psychotherapy and provide treatment for acute and chronic mental health conditions, including addiction and dual diagnoses.
• Prescribe psychotropic medications, including controlled substances, order diagnostic tests, and monitor treatment response, medication use, and side effects.
• Educate patients and families, de-escalate difficult situations, and coordinate follow-up care.
• Maintain complete clinical and administrative documentation in the EHR while following applicable standards and regulations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current board certification and licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Experience treating adults with general mental health needs or severe mental illness, and comfort working with patients aged 13 and older.
• Experience in addiction and mental health care, treatment planning, comprehensive assessments, and motivational interviewing.
• Ability to use EHR and telehealth software and comply with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, national standards of care, and internal policies.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship or assistance obtaining work eligibility is not available. Clinicians with a Florida or New York license must hold and maintain an active DEA registration.

Nice to have

• Spanish-speaking ability; additional compensation is available for providers fluent in Spanish.
• Previous telehealth experience.
• Experience in the community mental health sector.
• Additional state licensure or willingness to obtain it.
