Load Planner (Logistics)

Location: Fullerton, California, USA

Compensation: USD 25–27 per hour

What you will do

• Build, plan, and assign daily inbound and outbound shipments in a transportation management system.
• Optimize routing, equipment utilization, shipment consolidation, and carrier selection to support timely and cost-efficient delivery.
• Coordinate with carriers, warehouse operations, and customer service to confirm load details and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Monitor in-transit loads, proactively address delays and accessorial issues, and serve as the primary contact for load execution questions.
• Maintain shipment records, validate bills of lading, appointment confirmations, and proof-of-delivery documents.
• Track transportation KPIs, analyze bottlenecks, and recommend logistics process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in load planning, dispatching, or transportation coordination.
• Strong understanding of freight operations, routing, and carrier scheduling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and transportation management systems.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EDI processes, carrier portals, and digital visibility tools such as FourKites or Project44.
• Familiarity with regional carrier networks and warehouse operations.
