Software Engineer-Backend (C++)

What you will do

• Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and production-quality C++ software for robotics products.
• Build and maintain core application-layer functionality, including algorithm integration, rendering, and real-time system behavior.
• Work with microservice-style architectures, interprocess communication, rendering pipelines, and 3D graphics subsystems.
• Design, test, document, and optimize software for performance and scalability using software craftsmanship and test-driven development.
• Develop tools, utilities, and libraries supporting manufacturing and service operations.
• Investigate product quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective plans while supporting manufacturing, testing, and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of industry experience and proficiency in C/C++17 or newer.
• Experience with Qt and Qt Widgets, linear algebra, 3D mathematics, rendering technologies, and 3D graphics pipelines.
• Strong software design and architecture skills, with familiarity with gRPC and/or Protocol Buffers.
• Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, and software tools, utilities, or libraries/components.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, work independently in small teams, and travel up to 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMake build toolchains, algorithm development or integration, image processing, and Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting.
• Experience in the medical-device field.
