Summer 2027 Supply Chain Buyer Intern - Bachelor's (Gloucester, MA)

Location: Gloucester, MA, United States. Relocation eligible. Valid work authorization is required for the full internship period; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Salary is determined based on location, hire grade, knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. A comprehensive benefits package may include bonus and stock award eligibility.

What you will do

• Support supplier account managers, procurement and materials managers, and supply chain analytics activities during a 12-week summer internship.
• Complete supplier requests for quotations, prepare supplier profiles, and support supplier meetings, presentations, business reviews, and capacity reviews.
• Create, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders according to MRP requirements.
• Contact suppliers about material status, expedite deliveries, identify alternate or emergency sources, and provide updates to factory stakeholders and leadership.
• Resolve purchase order, invoice, and receipt discrepancies and mitigate excess purchase orders and inventory through supplier negotiations.
• Perform part, MRP, and spend analytics to improve commodity assignment and business practices.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related major.
• In good academic standing; a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
• Creative and analytical problem-solving skills with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent listening, written, quantitative, qualitative, and oral communication skills.
• Data analytics skills, including advanced Excel and working with multiple data sets.
• Valid work authorization for the entire internship period; visa sponsorship is not available.
