Maintenance Technician - Union Mechanic A - Sterling Apartment Homes

Location: Philadelphia, PA, USA; onsite at Sterling Apartment Homes

Salary: $24.03 per hour for Mechanic A; union rates may vary by skills and experience.

What you will do

• Provide service to residents and support other maintenance team members.
• Complete basic apartment turns and prepare units for new residents.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, basic electrical components, HVAC equipment, appliances, and other building systems.
• Provide technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians when needed.
• Assist with vendor quality management and move-in/move-out inspections.

Requirements

• At least two years of maintenance experience, preferably in facilities or building environments.
• Proficiency in at least two technical trades, such as plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, or carpentry.
• Ability to work Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with evenings, weekends, on-call shifts, and seasonal schedule changes as needed.
• Reliable transportation for after-hours emergency service requests while on call.
• Ability to perform physical work and move heavy equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
