Summer 2027 Supply Chain Materials Project Manager Intern - Master's (Austin, TX)

Location: Austin, TX, United States. Full-time, 12-week summer 2027 internship. Relocation eligible. Candidates must have valid work authorization for the full internship period; visa sponsorship is not offered.

What you will do

• Complete supplier requests for quotations and prepare supplier profiles for management.
• Support Supplier Account Managers with supplier management, negotiations, business reviews, capacity reviews, meetings, and presentations.
• Create, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders according to MRP requirements.
• Track and expedite material deliveries, provide updates to factory stakeholders, and find alternate or emergency sources.
• Perform part, MRP, spend, supplier, and inventory analytics to identify optimization opportunities.
• Resolve purchase order, invoice, and receipt discrepancies and help mitigate excess purchase orders and inventory.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related major.
• Good academic standing; a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
• Creative and analytical problem-solving skills with quantitative and qualitative analysis abilities.
• Strong listening, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Data analytics experience, including advanced Excel and working with multiple datasets.
• Flexible, adaptable mindset and commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
