Early Careers - Procurement Intern (AI)

Location: Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX, United States. Flex employees are expected to work in the office at least three days per week.

Base pay range: $19.13–$34.17.

What you will do

• Participate in a ten-week paid internship focused on supply-chain management and procurement.
• Support indirect sourcing, supplier management, strategic initiatives, and process improvement.
• Assist with pricing, negotiations, contract drafting, and contract analysis.
• Support procurement operations, department projects, research, analysis, and ad hoc assignments.
• Collaborate with Procurement, IT Hardware, IT Software, Medical Management, Business Outsourcing, and Professional Services teams.
• Create a final PowerPoint presentation covering the internship project, results, and recommendations.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Access.
• Ability to use problem-solving skills and apply AI and automation to improve procurement efficiency.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate in a team, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with or knowledge of Power Query, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Alteryx, or Python.
• Ability to work in the office at least three days per week in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX.
