TL;DR
EHS Manager (Manufacturing): Developing and administering environmental, health, and safety programs for a manufacturing facility with an accent on regulatory compliance, incident prevention, and continuous safety improvement. Focus on leading hazard analyses and accident investigations, maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programs, and implementing corrective actions across production operations.

Location: Gastonia, North Carolina, USA; on-site work supporting production areas.

What you will do

  • Develop, administer, and continuously improve the environmental, health, and safety program.
  • Lead hazard identification, JHA/JSA reviews, daily Lean Safety Gemba activities, and safety training.
  • Investigate near misses, injuries, and accidents; communicate root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain ISO 14001 environmental management and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety programs.
  • Manage EHS software, injury and illness tracking, Management of Change, and regulatory reporting.
  • Support workers’ compensation processes, contractor safety, return-to-work programs, and leadership safety initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, or 5–10 years of experience in occupational safety, environmental, or related roles.
  • Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, environmental, occupational safety, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Experience leading safety events and improving safety across manufacturing floors, offices, and leadership teams.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and influencing skills.
  • Automotive or similar manufacturing experience is preferred; OSHA 30 General Industry and related certifications are preferred but not required.
