What you will do

• Ensure site compliance with U.S. federal, Illinois state, and local EHS regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
• Establish, implement, and maintain proactive EHS and site-wide inspection programs.
• Lead EHS incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate and deliver EHS training for associates, leaders, and contractors on site programs.
• Manage EHS records, permits, licenses, and track site EHS metrics for leadership reporting.
• Support industrial hygiene monitoring and the site emergency response program.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or laboratory environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulatory requirements.
• English fluency required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline (preferred).
• Ability to conduct EHS risk assessments, inspections, audits, and training.

Nice to have

• EHS professional certification such as ASP, CSP, CHMM, or qualified EHS auditor.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Active engagement with external professional EHS organizations or continuing education.
