Environmental Health and Safety Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead and continuously improve environmental, health, safety, and ergonomics programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Advise site leadership and cross-functional teams while coaching Safety Coordinators and the EHS Ergonomics Specialist.
• Manage EHS goals, budgets, KPIs, audits, inspections, permits, reporting, and compliance records.
• Conduct hazard assessments, workplace inspections, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Maintain critical safety programs covering Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Hazard Communication, Powered Industrial Trucks, PPE, Electrical Safety, and Emergency Preparedness.
• Deliver training and lead ergonomics, industrial hygiene, occupational health, contractor safety, and safety culture initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; technical, engineering, environmental, or related discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of Environmental Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience leading teams, programs, projects, or EHS initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety compliance requirements.
• Experience with incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and EHS program management.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, project management, and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting manufacturing facilities with 500+ employees.
• Certified Safety Professional, Associate Safety Professional, or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager certification.
• Experience with environmental compliance programs, regulatory reporting, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, or occupational health.
• Technical or engineering background in manufacturing and experience leading site-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
