Plant Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Versailles, Kentucky, USA; onsite plant leadership role

Specialty chemicals company developing and producing bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing, and protection systems for construction, automotive, marine, and renewable energy manufacturing.

What you will do

• Lead safe, efficient, compliant, and environmentally responsible operation of the Versailles manufacturing facility.
• Deliver safety, quality, service, productivity, cost, and manufacturing performance goals.
• Build and develop high-performing teams across production, maintenance, engineering, quality, materials, logistics, and support functions.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, EHS, quality, supply chain, R&D, and commercial teams on reliable operations, new product introductions, preventive maintenance, capital planning, and site development.
• Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing, statistical process control, error-proofing, root cause analysis, and standard work.
• Manage operating expenses and approved capital projects while strengthening accountability, succession depth, and employee engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including production-team and plant-level performance management.
• Experience improving quality, productivity, delivery, cost, and safety performance in manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, process control, preventive maintenance, and capital project execution.
• Ability to build trust, develop talent, set expectations, hold teams accountable, and communicate across hourly, salaried, functional, and senior leadership groups.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and operational metrics.
