TL;DR
Senior Design Engineer (HVAC/Refrigeration): Supporting product development and production design for HVAC and refrigeration products with an accent on sheet metal and casting part design, engineering documentation, and manufacturing feasibility. Focus on creating DFMEA and DVPN&R, analyzing tolerance stacks, developing VAVE solutions, and resolving manufacturing and field issues.

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays

What you will do

  • Support HVAC and refrigeration product development projects independently and collaborate with design and product engineers.
  • Design sheet metal and casting parts, including layouts, concepts, sketches, and detailed drawings.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, bills of materials, and engineering change notices.
  • Provide design support for current production parts and products.
  • Create and develop DFMEA and DVPN&R documentation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for VAVE projects and support delivery against quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7–9 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Creo, Windchill, and Teamcenter.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal, casting, machining design, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of tolerance stack-up and analysis, bills of materials, and NPD, VAVE, or sustenance projects.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, adaptability, project management, and team development skills.

Nice to have

  • HVAC or refrigeration domain experience.
  • Hands-on experience with DFMEA and DVPN&R.
