What you will do

• Lead design engineers and drive new product development projects through the NPD stage-gate process.
• Design product concepts, prototypes, testing plans, and validation activities for trunnion-mounted soft seated and metal seated ball valves.
• Coordinate prototype and sample development with suppliers and manufacturing teams.
• Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and conduct design reviews and verification activities.
• Lead product certification and audit support for API, PED, SIL, and other applicable standards.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and global engineering teams to address customer requirements and implement engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B.Tech).
• 8–12 years of experience in industrial valve design and product development.
• Experience with trunnion-mounted ball valves, preferably both soft seated and metal seated designs.
• Strong understanding of solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, product validation, and certification processes.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PLM/PDM systems, including EPDM.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, and EN standards, GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience designing low-temperature and high-temperature valves.
• Product certification experience with API, PED, or SIL.
• New Product Development experience and work in a global engineering environment.
• Team leadership, stakeholder management, and strong collaboration skills.
• Agile, proactive, detail-oriented, and methodical approach to engineering problem-solving.
