CAD Engineer Associate (Summer 2027)

What you will do

• Model and draw spacecraft components, structures, and manifolds.
• Design supporting spacecraft structures.
• Maintain and improve the CAD design library and related data infrastructure.
• Develop and document practices that support efficient, considerate design.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or another protected individual under applicable U.S. export regulations.
• Hold a four-year B.S. degree or be pursuing an M.S. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, applied mathematics, industrial design, or an equivalent technical field.
• Demonstrate a passion for hands-on hardware development in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings.

Nice to have

• Experience designing complex assemblies and components.
• Experience with spaceflight components or vacuum-compatible systems.
• Experience with surface modeling.
