TL;DR

Design Engineer (Aerospace): Designing and improving ordnance components and systems for US military products with an accent on mechanical design, engineering analysis, and product sustainment. Location: Chandler, AZ, United States. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for employment.

Salary: $66,900 – $124,300

What you will do

  • Develop and improve mechanical designs for ordnance products throughout their production lifecycle.
  • Perform engineering analysis and create comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Support prototype development, qualification, and production engineering activities.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain configuration management records, including engineering drawings and bills of material.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Integrated Product Teams across various engineering disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Typically 3+ years of relevant mechanical and/or ordnance design experience.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically SolidWorks.
  • Experience creating engineering drawings and applying GD&T.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen due to government contract requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the Aerospace or Defense industries.
  • Knowledge of DOE, DFMA, FMEA, or engineering simulation (ANSYS/SolidWorks CAE).
  • Experience with configuration management systems (Oracle Agile PLM preferred).
  • Hands-on machine shop or fabrication experience.
