Salary: $172,800 – $216,000

What you will do
- Lead the development of aircraft subsystem test equipment from initial concept to customer acceptance.
- Partner cross-functionally with Electrical and Controls Engineering to define equipment architecture and design.
- Execute high-level engineering analyses, including DFMEA and worst-case tolerance stacks, to ensure safety and reliability.
- Manage project scope, budgets, and aggressive timelines as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders.
- Spearhead formal design reviews and oversee the creation of comprehensive documentation and training manuals.
- Provide expert mechanical support during equipment build and commissioning, troubleshooting hardware through to final site acceptance testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive experience in specialized test equipment or complex machine design.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX) and GD&T.
- Demonstrated ability to apply FEA, CFD, and statistical tolerance analysis to solve structural challenges.
- Extensive experience leading the bring-up, debugging, and integration of DAQ systems and sensors.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Direct experience in the development of electric powertrain or component-level test equipment.
- Deep proficiency in NX CAD within a Teamcenter environment.
- Proven success managing the complete lifecycle of custom automation or test cells.
- Practical "wrench-heavy" experience in physical assembly (DFM/DFA).
- Proficiency with Jira, Slack, and Google Workspace.
