AV Administrator, Events & Experiences

Location: New York, New York; onsite AV and event-space work

Salary: $115,000–$135,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement tailored audio-visual solutions for collaboration, presentation, and event spaces.
• Maintain reliable, user-friendly AV systems and stay current with emerging technologies and industry standards.
• Collaborate with construction, Spaceport, design, and cross-functional teams to build immersive spaces.
• Provide technical AV support for launches, gatherings, concerts, and other high-profile events.
• Coordinate AV systems, lighting, and automation to ensure seamless event execution.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of professional experience building, deploying, and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, software, and IP networks for AV support in a mid- to large-enterprise environment.
• Q-SYS Level 1 Certification.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., work extended hours and weekends, and support varied shift patterns.
• Willingness to travel less than 20% and pass a role-required background check.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with construction CAD drawings, power/data line drawings, signal flow, and AV design concepts.
• Q-SYS Level 2 and Control Certifications.
• Experience with Dante, AES67, SACN, Art-Net, LED wall installation, cable splicing and termination, and sound or acoustic design.
• Knowledge of live-show and installed AV systems covering audio, video, broadcast, lighting, lasers, and facility infrastructure.
• Experience supporting video-conferencing solutions, customer service, problem solving, and teamwork.
