TL;DR

AV Associate (AV/IT Infrastructure): Managing the day-to-day setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual equipment to ensure seamless business operations with an accent on technical support for meetings and executive presentations. Focus on troubleshooting conference room technology, managing AV inventory, and optimizing video conferencing platforms.

Location: Onsite in New York City (hybrid flexibility available)

Salary: $65,000 – $81,000 per year

What you will do

  • Provide technical support for AV infrastructure-related issues across the organization.
  • Set up, test, and operate AV equipment for meetings, conferences, and executive presentations.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conference room and event space systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the Service Desk team to understand and fulfill AV needs.
  • Manage AV-related tickets, the event calendar, and equipment inventory.
  • Assist with system installation, configuration, calibration, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Degree in AV Technology, Media Production, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years of experience supporting AV systems and live events.
  • Experience with UCC Platforms (Zoom, Google Meet) and streaming platforms (Riverside, Goldcast).
  • Proficiency with video production switchers and digital audio consoles.
  • Must be based in New York City.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification or equivalent.
