TL;DR
AV Associate (Audiovisual Technology): Supporting the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems for conference rooms, executive presentations, meetings, and corporate events with an accent on video conferencing, live event production, and system reliability. Focus on configuring and calibrating displays, audio systems, control systems, and streaming platforms, maintaining AV infrastructure, and solving complex technical issues for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Location: New York City, United States; onsite and in-office. Discretionary work from home may be available at the manager's discretion.

Salary: $65,000–$81,000 per year base pay for candidates based in the United States. Expected OTE is $72,000–$90,000 per year including bonus or commission.

What you will do

  • Provide technical support for audiovisual infrastructure across the organization.
  • Set up, test, operate, and maintain AV systems for meetings, executive presentations, conferences, and corporate events.
  • Install, configure, test, calibrate, and optimize displays, audio systems, control systems, and video conferencing solutions.
  • Create and review maintenance schedules, troubleshooting guides, runbooks, system schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Manage AV-related tickets, the AV calendar, and equipment inventory.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, the Service Desk team, and AV engineers; occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Media Production, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years of experience supporting AV systems and live events.
  • Experience with Zoom, Google Meet, Riverside, and Goldcast.
  • Experience with video production switchers and digital audio consoles.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • CTS certification or an equivalent audiovisual technology certification.
