Hybrid-Inside Delivery/Apprentice PM Technician (Climate Equipment)

Location: Onsite at the Gaithersburg, Maryland office, with field work at customer locations across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Occasional overnight travel, overtime, and weekend work may be required.

Salary: $19.09–$26.44 per hour.

What you will do

• Receive, load, unload, prepare, and transport laboratory equipment.
• Relocate, assemble, disassemble, install, reconnect, and test equipment, including biosafety cabinets and incubators.
• Coordinate inside deliveries, pickups, returns, and customer-site deliveries.
• Keep service vehicles stocked with required parts and tools.
• Communicate with customers, delivery technicians, service managers, and other stakeholders about services and site-access procedures.
• Track job hours and service tickets while maintaining loaner and warehouse inventory records; learn preventive maintenance, equipment servicing, and safe tool use.

Requirements

• Trade school diploma.
• Universal CFC certification.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions in the previous three years.
• Ability to pass a Department of Transportation health and physical assessment and carry the required card.
• Ability to walk for extended periods; walking comprises approximately 50% of the job.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows, plus willingness to travel and work overtime or weekends as required.
