Maintenance Technician Apprentice (Robotics)

Location: Chaska, MN, United States; onsite production-floor role. First shift, Monday–Friday, with flexible hours depending on coursework. Occasional weekends, overtime, and on-call work may be required.

Salary: $28–$32 per hour, with actual pay based on overall skills and experience.

hirify.global operates a manufacturing site in Chaska and provides a structured maintenance technician apprenticeship with relevant coursework.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair production equipment and facility infrastructure to support uptime, reliability, safety, and process improvements.
• Repair, replace, and test electrical circuits, switches, motors, sensors, and other electrical components.
• Support robotics, PLCs, HMIs, servo and stepper drives, vision systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and complex mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot automated and custom-built equipment, including robot programs, motor drives, sensors, network communications, and inspection systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on robots and in-house equipment, including inspections of pneumatic and electrical connections.
• Document work in the computerized work-order system and support equipment configuration, test-program updates, data collection, and safe restarts.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree in controls, automation, robotics, electrical, mechanical-electrical, or a related field, or equivalent manufacturing experience and training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hands-on electrical experience, strong mechanical aptitude, advanced troubleshooting skills, and creative problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks, CAD, Word, and Excel or equivalent tools.
• Ability to work independently, train and support coworkers, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Must be able to work onsite in Chaska, wear required PPE and cleanroom attire, work at elevated heights, lift up to 45 pounds, and stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

Nice to have

• Experience with Faunc, Sepro, or Star robots.
• Experience with controls and automation maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
