Traveling Journeyman Electrician (Solar)

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA; 100% travel across Minnesota with overnight stays required

Salary: $55–$60 per hour, plus $125 per diem, travel incentives, and overtime eligibility

What you will do

• Install photovoltaic electrical systems according to drawings and specifications.
• Apply current electrical codes and industry best practices on solar construction projects.
• Complete material takeoffs, support tool and equipment procurement, and assist with AC/DC terminations and wire management.
• Interpret construction documents, wire schedules, and bills of materials.
• Mentor apprentices and crew members in the field.
• Maintain project records and collaborate with foremen and project managers on safety, quality, and production goals.

Requirements

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License.
• 5+ years of experience in solar or electrical construction.
• Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, DC/AC configurations, electrical schematics, and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to travel extensively across Minnesota, including overnight stays.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history; ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
