TL;DR
Journeyworker Maintenance Electrician - 1st Shift (Industrial Electrical): Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems for manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure with an accent on PLC-controlled equipment, CNC machines, FANUC robotics, and power distribution. Focus on diagnosing complex electrical faults, commissioning new production systems, maintaining uptime, and following LOTO, arc-flash, NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA requirements.

Location: Onsite in Germantown, Wisconsin, United States. First-shift schedule; working hours are communicated by the manager.

What you will do

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems from low voltage through 600 volts across manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.
  • Diagnose CNC, PLC-controlled, press, conveyor, and auxiliary equipment issues, including FANUC robotics cells and safety circuits.
  • Maintain motors, VFDs, servos, encoders, control panels, panelboards, MCCs, transformers, feeders, grounding, and bonding systems.
  • Read schematics, ladder logic, one-lines, and machine documentation while documenting repairs and system modifications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs, manage the PM program in Limble, and support new equipment installations, line moves, and process changes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams on equipment commissioning, continuous improvement, new product development, training, and apprentice mentoring.

Requirements

  • Valid state-recognized Journeyman Electrician license; Wisconsin license is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience, including systems from low voltage through 600 volts.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC-controlled equipment and strong troubleshooting skills in power and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams.
  • Ability to safely perform lockout/tagout, confined-space, hot-work, and elevated-work activities while following applicable electrical and safety regulations.
  • Must establish employment eligibility, pass background checks and pre-employment testing, and successfully complete required pulmonary-function and respirator-fit tests.

Nice to have

  • Master Electrician license and 10+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience.
  • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA standards.
  • Previous experience programming FANUC robots.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical equipment processes.
