Project Manager (CEI)

Location: Onsite in Brentwood, Knoxville, or Chattanooga, Tennessee

What you will do

• Lead regional Construction Engineering Inspection teams delivering Department of Transportation and municipal transportation projects.
• Provide technical leadership for roadway, bridge, drainage, earthwork, intersection improvement, and utility relocation projects.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, budgets, schedules, and internal quality assurance procedures.
• Serve as project executive across multiple projects and maintain project processes required by contract.
• Review and approve monthly CPM schedules, coordinate with owners and contractors, and resolve contract challenges.
• Manage administrative staff preparing documentation for final estimate submissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of construction inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Ability to obtain required certifications and pass qualification tests within specified time frames.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather and physically demanding conditions, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 pounds.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Technical writing, networking, and construction project leadership experience.
