TL;DR
Tool Control Coordinator (Aviation): Establishing and managing a controlled-tool program for aircraft maintenance operations with an accent on inventory accountability, calibration, audits, and aviation regulatory compliance. Focus on investigating tool discrepancies, coordinating tool-room operations, and improving tracking and workflow systems.

Location: Dallas, Texas; on-site. Working hours are 9:00–17:00 or 10:00–18:00.

hirify.global's Aircraft Operations Division manages fleet asset operations, maintenance support, and air vehicle operator requirements.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement a tool control program with policies, inventories, shadow boards, tracking systems, and inspection protocols.
  • Coordinate daily tool-room and tool-issue-point operations to maintain tool accountability and availability.
  • Maintain tool-control documentation and manage tool calibration, procurement, repairs, and replacement planning.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and discrepancy investigations for missing or damaged tools.
  • Train technicians on tool-control standards, documentation, handling procedures, and safety expectations.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, safety, supply chain, and engineering teams while monitoring compliance metrics and process improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role, including ERP experience.
  • Strong math, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and personal accountability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on-site in Dallas, Texas.

Nice to have

  • At least 3 years of ERP inventory experience.
  • Forklift operator certification.
  • Experience with RFID inventory-scanning systems.
  • Manufacturing experience and MS Office proficiency.
