Systems Engineer (ADAS)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $130,000–$182,000 annual base pay, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Conduct systems engineering analyses for L3+ ADAS and L4 autonomous driving systems.
• Define system performance metrics, monitor results, and provide feedback to software development teams.
• Develop validation strategies, subsystem requirements, test methodologies, and test suites to identify performance gaps.
• Assess commercial deployment readiness across different operational design domains (ODDs).
• Develop system architectures across vehicle platforms and support safety cases and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct safety risk assessments, collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams, and mentor junior systems engineers.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies, especially ADAS and autonomous driving technologies.
• Experience developing AI-based system metrics and validating system performance; familiarity with machine learning technologies.
• Ability to solve complex problems pragmatically with limited resources.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Flexibility to work with teams across different time zones.
