Critical Environments Operator III

Location: Ashburn, Virginia, United States; onsite data center work required, including extended hours during emergencies and 24/7/365 availability.

What you will do

• Complete assigned operations and maintenance activities for data center and other assigned facility spaces.
• Use and teach others to use the computerized maintenance management system to track work orders, labor, preventive maintenance, and reactive work.
• Apply SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and MMRs during site operations and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors to complete maintenance and project work safely and effectively.
• Respond to building system alarms, prioritizing critical-load protection, equipment preservation, and root-cause analysis.
• Perform critical switching, lockout/tagout, safe-area setup, quality checks, and emergency corrective maintenance.

Requirements

• Journeyman-level skills in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R disciplines, acquired through technical training, an associate degree, or relevant facility-maintenance experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 data centers, operations and maintenance, or building engineering.
• Experience with work-order control, CMMS, subcontractor and vendor contract management, KPI management, capacity planning, and reporting.
• Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, personal computers, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of reflectance, length, and decibel loss in test equipment.
• Ability to respond to alarms, troubleshoot systems through graphical user interfaces, and stabilize operations while OEM technicians are being dispatched.
• U.S. citizenship may be required for government contract or security clearance reasons. Background check and pre-employment drug screening are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Visio or AutoCAD.
• College degree.
• Customer service experience in a technology or customer-centric company.
