Engineer I - IT Systems (Software Asset Management)

What you will do

• Implement and continuously improve the Software Asset Management program across the software asset lifecycle.
• Administer and configure ServiceNow SAM Professional for software discovery, normalization, reconciliation, license entitlements, allocations, and compliance tracking.
• Analyze software usage and installation data to identify reclamation, reallocation, savings, and optimization opportunities.
• Manage vendor licensing agreements, renewals, entitlements, audits, and compliance risks in collaboration with IT Security, Legal, HR, and Finance.
• Design ServiceNow Catalog Request workflows and manage compliant software request, approval, delivery, and reclamation processes.
• Produce dashboards and reports, train stakeholders on SAM policies, and provide customer support across the organization.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Software Asset Lifecycle Management.
• 3+ years of experience interpreting licensing models for major publishers such as Microsoft and Adobe.
• Strong understanding of ITAM and SAM policies, procedures, best practices, auditing, and data management.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow, ServiceNow SAM Professional, Ivanti or related ITSM/ITAM tools, Power BI, data analytics, and pivot tables.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication; ability to work in a global team environment, with strong organization, attention to detail, and leadership skills.

• IAITAM CSAM certification.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
