Workplace Technology Manager

TL;DR

Workplace Technology Manager (IT Operations): Leading the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of workplace technologies including physical endpoints, virtual desktops, and AV systems with an accent on digital end-user experience (DEX) and operational efficiency. Focus on building high-performing teams, implementing automation and AI-enabled tools, and ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant IT service delivery.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Lenexa, KS or Kansas City, MO, USA.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor teams across End-User Compute Engineering, Service Desk, and Audio/Visual support.
• Define and execute the strategy for endpoint management, virtual desktops, and hardware lifecycle governance.
• Drive automation and AI-enabled workflows to improve service desk performance and ticket resolution.
• Partner with Facilities and Real Estate on office buildouts and enterprise AV infrastructure projects.
• Establish and monitor operational metrics, SLAs, and service quality standards.
• Manage hardware asset inventory, procurement, and vendor contracts to ensure compliance and audit readiness.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive IT experience in end-user computing, service delivery, or AV technologies.
• 3+ years of people management experience leading technical engineering or support teams.
• Experience with modern endpoint management platforms like Microsoft Intune, Jamf, or SCCM.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

• Experience managing multi-million-dollar IT budgets.
• Strong financial acumen and experience coordinating third-party technology vendors.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and C-level stakeholders.
