Sales Application Support Engineer (Food Processing)

Location: West Sacramento, California, USA; ability to travel nationally and internationally up to 50% of the time.

What you will do

• Partner with customers and Sales Managers to define application requirements and recommend suitable hirify.global solutions.
• Conduct machine demonstrations, customer trials, proof-of-concept testing, and application tests in hirify.global facilities and customer environments.
• Analyze test and operational data, validate machine performance, and prepare technical recommendations and reports.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and optimize sorting equipment and demonstration environments.
• Support installations, commissioning, customer training, and performance validation when required.
• Collaborate with Sales, Service, Product Management, R&D, Engineering, and Global Solutions teams on customer solutions and product improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent technical training and experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of experience in Application Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Sales Support, or a related technical field is preferred; strong recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, troubleshooting, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, and technical data analysis skills.
• Experience with technical presentations, sales demonstrations, trials, testing, commissioning, customer training, or customer-facing technical projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD, SolidWorks, 2D/3D drafting, or design software.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport and be willing and able to travel nationally and internationally.
