Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Onsite only at the Binghamton, New York, United States facility; occasional domestic travel to the Norwood, Massachusetts headquarters is required.

Salary: $78,400–$90,000 per year.

What you will do

• Act as the primary manufacturing liaison between Engineering and Production for new product introduction and sustaining engineering.
• Provide manufacturability input, part setup guidance, production planning, and support for product development.
• Improve manufacturing processes for quality, efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot machining and mechanical assembly issues using hands-on and data-driven approaches.
• Design and document fixtures, tooling, gages, material specifications, setup sheets, work instructions, quality plans, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with CNC Programming, Quality, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and production teams on process execution, non-conformances, training, facility layout, equipment installation, and preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Six to eight or more years of hands-on experience in machining and/or mechanical assembly environments.
• Working knowledge of turning, milling, drilling, and grinding processes.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, indicators, CMMs, and other metrology tools.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software, plus knowledge of GD&T, PLM, and engineering documentation.
• Ability to work onsite at the Binghamton, New York facility and travel domestically when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or ITW Toolbox process improvement methodologies.
• Exposure to Power BI, Minitab, or similar data analysis tools.
• Experience supporting CNC programming environments.
