Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $112,340–$159,468 USD per year

hirify.global develops next-generation commercial space stations, including the multi-module Haven Station, to support human presence in space, microgravity research, manufacturing, and a new space economy.

What you will do

  • Lead requirements definition, management, and traceability through design reviews and verification campaigns.
  • Manage technical baselines and product readiness across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Maintain product breakdown structures and engineering lifecycle documentation.
  • Define verification and validation plans, review implementations, and resolve non-compliances.
  • Establish company-wide systems engineering standards and support technical decisions, configuration changes, and mission-risk assessments.
  • Improve systems engineering processes and develop tools that track technical sources of truth across program milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in design ownership, systems integration, or test engineering, including at least 1 year focused on systems engineering.
  • Ability to work across engineering disciplines and communicate technical progress to engineers, managers, and program leaders.
  • Experience or familiarity with requirements, project management, design review, and verification processes.
  • Strong scripting and data analysis skills using Python, MATLAB, or Excel, with familiarity with visualization tools.
  • Must be a U.S. person under U.S. export control regulations or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

  • Experience in systems engineering, responsible engineering, or technical leadership for complex aerospace systems.
  • Background with spacecraft, aircraft, launch vehicles, or other mission- or safety-critical systems.
  • Experience leading PDR/CDR design reviews and verification campaigns.
  • Understanding of a core engineering discipline such as structures, thermal, avionics, power, or flight software.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for space systems design and testing.
