Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite at the Long Beach location

Salary: $137,760–$230,472 USD per year

hirify.global develops next-generation commercial space stations, including the Haven Station program, to support human presence in space, microgravity research, manufacturing, and a new space economy.

What you will do

  • Define, manage, and maintain technical requirements, design baselines, product breakdown structures, and engineering lifecycle documentation.
  • Lead product readiness and maturity across multiple engineering disciplines through major design milestones.
  • Own verification and validation plans, including technical inputs, outputs, and success criteria.
  • Review design implementations against requirements and drive resolution of non-compliances.
  • Lead company-wide systems engineering standards and guide technical decisions and configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with design and flight reliability teams to assess mission risks, hazards, and system performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in design ownership, systems integration, or test engineering, including at least 1 year focused on systems engineering.
  • Experience with responsible engineering, systems engineering, or technical leadership on complex aerospace or other mission- or safety-critical systems.
  • Experience with requirements or project management tools and with leading PDR/CDR design reviews and verification campaigns.
  • Strong cross-disciplinary communication, systems-level intuition, technical leadership, scripting, and data analysis skills.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

  • Comprehensive knowledge of a core engineering discipline such as structures, thermal, avionics, power, or flight software.
  • Background with spacecraft, aircraft, launch vehicles, or comparable mission- or safety-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for space systems design and testing.
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB, Excel, and visualization tools such as Tableau.
