TL;DR

Location: Onsite in Redondo Beach, United States

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential stock options and benefits.

What you will do

  • Evaluate mission and vehicle risks across development, integration, testing, and flight operations, and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Lead vehicle-level readiness reviews for test campaigns, launch operations, and flight readiness milestones.
  • Own root cause investigations for significant flight and ground-test anomalies and drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.
  • Advance mission assurance processes covering change management, configuration control, impact assessment, and lessons learned.
  • Partner with design, manufacturing, software, avionics, propulsion, GNC, and operations teams to improve reliability throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
  • Support certification and compliance approaches and represent the company in customer, government, partner, and mission operations reviews.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, launch vehicles, spacecraft, aviation, or other highly complex technical systems.
  • Experience with structured problem solving and root cause investigations, supported by strong analytical, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI or TS/SAP security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to meet U.S. Government ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible authorization holder.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or complex technical system management.
  • Systems engineering experience with technical interfaces and requirements across complex programs.
  • Programming experience in a modern scripting language.
  • Knowledge of space vehicle fundamentals, aerospace design and test specifications, CAD tools, engineering drawings, spacecraft testing, integration, and mission operations.
