Field Services Calibration Technician

Location: Based out of Newport News, Virginia, United States. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR export-control requirements.

What you will do

• Provide laboratory and customer calibration services for measurement, temperature, torque, pressure, force, and dimensional equipment.
• Identify and apply appropriate measurement techniques while maintaining calibration standards.
• Calibrate customer assets and manage their ongoing calibration needs independently.
• Schedule and send equipment for calibration or repair when laboratory capabilities are unavailable.
• Perform calibration work safely in accordance with company requirements and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or technical school education is preferred.
• At least two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic experience with calibration and measuring instrumentation, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, crimpers, torque equipment, pressure gauges, temperature equipment, and force equipment.
• Basic mathematics skills, familiarity with hand tools, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work 40 or more hours per week, including overtime when needed, and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Clean driving record, background check, drug screen, and U.S. Person status required.
