Calibration Service Technician (Metrology)

Location: Permanent onsite position in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

Salary: $27–$35 per hour, plus bonus eligibility. The position is on the second shift, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

What you will do

• Perform manual and automated calibrations, adjustments, preventive maintenance, and limited repairs on test and measurement equipment at customer locations.
• Complete low- to medium-complexity calibrations in general-purpose, torque, and related measurement areas within assigned timeframes.
• Prepare calibration data sheets and enter accurate calibration data into tracking systems and databases.
• Complete documentation required for customers, ISO standards, and quality management systems.
• Interact with customers on repairs, calibration requirements, and technical clarifications while representing Tektronix onsite.
• Perform final inspections, laboratory support activities, daily scheduling, Kaizen events, and basic problem-solving as required.

Requirements

• Typically 3–6 years of related experience.
• Strong customer service, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on semi-routine assignments and select acceptable alternative calibration methods when necessary.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Essential duties are subject to U.S. Government export-control regulations; candidates must be U.S. Persons or be prepared to obtain the required U.S. government export authorizations.

Nice to have

• College degree or continued technical education.
• Military Metrology or Calibration training, such as PMEL or TMDE.
• Two-year technical certification.
• Experience calibrating torque, general-purpose test, pressure, force, vibration, oven or furnace temperature, or liquid flow equipment.
