Calibration Technician I

Location: Clearwater, Florida, United States; calibration work is performed in the laboratory or on-site.

What you will do

• Perform calibration and certification of electronic, physical, and dimensional measuring and test equipment according to technical specifications.
• Maintain traceability of calibrations to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
• Calibrate and repair pressure devices, timers, ESD equipment, scales, weights, and related standards.
• Configure and test equipment using instructions, blueprints, schematics, and prescribed procedures.
• Prepare reports and documentation covering equipment condition, repairs, preventive maintenance, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to day-to-day calibration escalations and priority requests while reporting to the lead technician and lab manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience, or an associate’s degree in engineering technology or a related field with 1 year of experience.
• Working knowledge of current, voltage, resistance, and AC/DC equipment calibration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to perform hands-on calibration work in laboratory and on-site environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, or Met/Cal.
• Familiarity with laboratory measurement and calibration equipment.
