Configuration Manager (UAS)

Location: Teal Drones — Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; on-site facility work required

What you will do

• Establish and maintain configuration management processes, policies, and procedures aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, and similar standards.
• Manage product structures, BOMs, revisions, and variant configurations in SAP and Arena PLM.
• Control configurations for Black Widow military and commercial variants, FPV drones, and future aircraft programs.
• Maintain hardware, software, and firmware baselines, including batteries, payloads, accessories, spares, repair kits, and packaging requirements.
• Lead configuration identification, change control, status accounting, audits, metrics, and traceability activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams; identify configuration risks and propose mitigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–7+ years of configuration management experience in aerospace, defense, or UAS industries.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP and Arena PLM.
• Strong knowledge of BOM structures, revision control, change management, and configurable or variant BOMs.
• Familiarity with UAS systems, avionics, embedded software, and mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with configuration audits and standards such as AS9100 or MIL-STD-973; ITAR/EAR-restricted work requires proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence and no sponsorship requirement.

Nice to have

• Configuration Management certification such as CMPIC.
• Experience in FAA, DoD, or other regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Git or SVN, digital thread and digital twin concepts, MES, and supply chain integration.
