AI Engineer (Fintech)

Salary: $130,000 – $350,000 USD (tiered by location and city)

What you will do

• Own the AI foundation, including model selection, routing, proxy layers, and context management.
• Develop and maintain eval infrastructure to ensure high-quality, accurate financial outputs.
• Ship agentic features end-to-end, from prompt engineering to optimization loops and subagent patterns.
• Build observability tools to profile agent behavior, identify bottlenecks, and drive data-backed improvements.
• Collaborate with domain experts to encode financial logic into automated evaluation systems.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Americas (US, Canada, or LATAM) to align with team working hours.
• Proven experience shipping production LLM systems, including evals, context management, and multi-model routing.
• Strong background in building complex B2B products from scratch.
• Experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and shipping user-facing products.
• Pragmatic builder mindset with a focus on shipping v0s and iterative optimization.
• Ability to trace requests from UI to data store and make sound technical architectural decisions.
