AI Engineer (GTM Claudification)

Location: Remote-friendly with required attendance at an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time; based in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.

Annual salary: $320,000–$405,000 USD

What you will do

• Build and operate autonomous agents for inbound, outbound, pipeline management, and customer engagement workflows.
• Design approval gates, human handoffs, and escalation paths that keep sellers in control.
• Develop evaluation frameworks, behavior benchmarks, transcript analysis, production monitoring, and ROI measurement for LLM agents.
• Ship MCP servers, agent skills, and web applications connected to CRM, communication tools, and data warehouses.
• Set technical direction for agent development, evaluation, operations, shared codebases, and engineering conventions.
• Work directly with sellers, RevOps, and platform engineering partners to move projects from prototype to production.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript and experience building and operating production applications.
• Production experience with LLMs, context engineering, agent development, MCP development, tool use, and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience using evaluations and transcript analysis to identify and fix problems in LLM systems.
• Working fluency with data and SQL.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, ship without a detailed specification, and simplify complex problems.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience; the role requires at least 8 years of relevant experience as a preferred qualification.

Nice to have

• Experience with Claude Code and the Claude Agent SDK.
• Experience with CRM, sales engagement, enrichment, conversation intelligence, or revenue teams.
• Experience growing shared, inner-source, or open-source codebases.
• Applied machine learning and experimentation experience, including A/B testing, propensity models, recommendations, or causal analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills for working with non-technical partners.
