AI Engineer (GTM Claudification)

Location: Remote-friendly with travel required; staff are expected to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.

Annual salary: $320,000–$405,000 USD

What you will do

• Build and operate autonomous agents for inbound, outbound, pipeline management, and customer engagement workflows.
• Design human oversight systems, including approval gates, handoffs, and escalation paths.
• Develop and run evaluation frameworks, behavior benchmarks, transcript analysis, production monitoring, and ROI measurement.
• Ship MCP servers, agent skills, and web applications integrated with CRM, communication tools, and data warehouses.
• Set technical direction and architect shared codebases, conventions, and review practices for go-to-market builders.
• Work directly with sellers, RevOps, and platform engineering partners to take projects from prototype through production.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript and experience operating production applications.
• Production experience with LLMs, context engineering, agent development, MCP development, tool use, and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience using evals and transcript analysis to identify and fix problems in LLM systems.
• Working fluency with data, including SQL.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time; visa sponsorship is available for eligible roles and candidates.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, ML engineer, or forward deployed engineer.
• Experience with Claude Code, the Claude Agent SDK, and go-to-market systems.
• Applied ML and experimentation experience, including A/B testing, propensity models, recommendations, or causal analysis.
• Experience growing codebases with many contributors, including inner-source or open-source projects.
• Exceptional communication skills when working with non-technical partners.
