Commissioning Agent - Mechanical

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA; requires visiting project sites in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties for 50% of working time.

What you will do

• Review MEP drawings, specifications, Owner’s Project Requirements, and Basis of Design documents to evaluate energy efficiency.
• Perform measurement, verification, commissioning, and retro-commissioning of building systems.
• Develop Pre-Functional and Functional testing forms in accordance with green building practices.
• Collect energy-use data through jobsite observations, field inspections, and submetering.
• Visit project sites, observe testing, and verify the installation and programming of new or relocated equipment.
• Prepare commissioning reports, systems manuals, O&M plans, ongoing commissioning plans, and post-occupancy reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent foreign degree; equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training may be accepted.
• Two years of training in mechanical systems, building design, and construction.
• Two years of experience in commissioning services.
• LEED AP certification or eligibility for certification through GBCI.
• Ability to use Bluebeam, Procore, BlueRithm, building management systems, and handheld testing equipment.
• Ability to visit project sites throughout South Florida for 50% of working time.
