Cx Technician

Location: New York, NY office with a hybrid work arrangement; 60% travel required.

Salary: $65,000–$89,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Support commissioning leads with jobsite observations, equipment and systems condition assessments, functional testing, and field verification.
• Create field reports, pre-functional checklists, commissioning plans, specifications, Owner’s Project Requirements, and MEP functional performance test procedures.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, associated controls, plumbing, and other building systems issues and prepare basic calculations.
• Proofread, format, organize, and maintain project documentation, digital files, meeting minutes, presentations, and the Project Big Board.
• Coordinate the timely distribution of project information and assist project managers with scheduling meetings and communicating with clients and consultants.
• Provide technical and administrative support to commissioning, IT, HR, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• Entry-level profile with 0–3 years of experience; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Teams.
• Strong organization, written communication, prioritization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English clearly and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Willingness to learn, contribute, and communicate confidently with colleagues, clients, and consultants.
