Project Engineer (Critical Power Infrastructure)

Location: Henrico, Virginia, United States; travel up to 20%

Salary: $100,000–$137,500 annual base pay

What you will do

• Coordinate project technical planning, design, and execution.
• Support sales tenders by checking technical compliance with standards and regulations and preparing specification and technical submittals.
• Work with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to develop and review deliverable designs.
• Prepare project-specific design calculations and engineering documentation.
• Support manufacturing, assembly, testing, delivery, and commissioning activities.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for live projects and assist with root-cause analysis reporting.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with LV/MV switchgear, control panels, and electrical distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of single-line diagrams, protection devices, and electrical design principles.
• Working knowledge of UL standards for switchgear and control gear assemblies.
• Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
