Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer, F-15 Systems (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at Robins AFB, Warner Robins, Georgia, United States. Some travel may be required, up to 20%.

What you will do

• Develop, test, and implement mechanical system improvements for F-15 environmental controls, crew egress, hydraulics, fuel, engine start, power generation, and flight control systems.
• Develop and document airworthiness requirements and supporting artifacts.
• Perform engineering evaluations and OSS&E tasks addressing mechanical system safety, suitability, and effectiveness.
• Conduct technical reviews, including Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews and Functional and Physical Configuration Audits.
• Coordinate with program managers, the Defense Logistics Agency, Air Combat Command, and field units on supply requirements, lead times, and fielding recommendations.
• Provide project status and direction reports to upper management while maintaining regular customer relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer interaction at all organizational levels.
• Must be a United States citizen and work onsite at Robins AFB.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of U.S. Government, DoD, USAF, or USN technology and system development processes.
• Experience with digital engineering, systems engineering, test and evaluation, and weapon system research and development.
• Military aviation systems experience.
• Experience using Air Force technical manuals, supply systems, maintenance policies, and regulations.
• Experience performing engineering and configuration analysis across different aircraft.
