Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Location: Hybrid; local to an office in Temecula, San Diego, or Palm Desert, California

Salary: $145,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage geotechnical investigations for major development and construction projects.
• Supervise, mentor, and train staff engineers and technicians.
• Lead or supervise engineering analyses for foundation design, slope stability, and seismic hazards.
• Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, scopes of work, project budgets, and laboratory data interpretations.
• Review grading and foundation plans for conformance with engineering recommendations.
• Develop and maintain an active client base while working with public agencies, developers, and utility clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or engineering geology.
• 7+ years of experience managing geotechnical aspects of land development and construction projects.
• California Registered Civil Engineer license (RCE/PE) required.
• Strong written, oral, organizational, client engagement, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Familiarity with Caltrans Standard Specifications.

Nice to have

• Geotechnical Engineer (GE) qualification.
